WELCOME

3RD ANNUAL CANADIAN CONFERENCE ON IMMUNE THROMBOCYTOPENIC PURPURA (ITP)

Oct 25 & 26, 2019

InterContinental Yorkville, Toronto, ON

We are very pleased to announce the 3rd Canadian Conference on Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura

(ITP) will be taking place in Toronto, ON on October 25 & 26, 2019. The last ITP conference in 2011 was a great success and after several years, our colleagues have voiced a strong demand to meet again in 2019.

Our objective for the Canadian Conference on ITP is to provide high quality education and opportunity to network with our colleagues. Hematologists, internists, as well as residents, nurse practitioners and pharmacists, with an interest in ITP, will come together in an environment where challenging cases can be discussed and best practices shared. There will be keynote presentations on new and relevant data followed by panel discussions with our world renowned faculty. At this time facilitators can present a series of interactive case discussions with audience participation.

By keeping the program interactive, we have been successful at engaging the audience. This has resulted in improved knowledge transfer compared to a didactic-only program. It is this unique structure that sets this event apart from traditional programs and allows attendees to be able to immediately apply what they have learned directly toward patient care.

We look forward to seeing you in Toronto for this stimulating and educational meeting.

Yours truly,

Dr. Michelle Sholzberg (Toronto, ON)
Dr. Wendy Lam
(Burnaby, BC)
Co-Chairs Canadian Conference on ITP

On behalf of ITP Planning Committee

Dr. Donald Arnold (Hamilton, ON)
Dr. Cyrus Hsia (London, ON)
Dr. Harold Olney (Montreal, QC)
